Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen could switch to driving in the World Rally Championship in 2019, after driving in Formula 1 for 17 years.
Currently, the future of Raikkonen is largely unknown. There have been rumors and hints regarding another one-year contract with Ferrari, although several other drivers have been linked to his seat for next season.
However, he is also wanted in WRC by the Toyota Gazoo Racing team, after Tomi Makinen and Mia Miettinen were spotted on Raikkonen’s yacht during the Monaco weekend.
“Kimi could be a Toyota driver, but first he has to decide if he will continue his career with Ferrari,” Miettinen spoke in a brief statement.
Raikkonen has already competed in WRC between 2009 and 2011 with some success. He then made his comeback to Formula 1 in 2012 with Lotus.
