British energy drink Rich Energy is set to announce a £200 million takeover of Force India, which could happen as early as this week.
The founder of Rich Energy, Willaim Storey, has stated that having a presence in Formula 1 will help the business go worldwide, as it currently sells drinks in 23 countries.
“F1 is the perfect platform for the brand, motorsport is all about a fast, glamorous lifestyle. It works for Red Bull,” Storey said.

Force India is being sold by current owner Vijay Mallya, who is facing charges in his home country of India where he is facing accusations of money laundering.
Since Rich Energy was unveiled in 2015, the firm has been in talks discussing many financial acquisitions.
The deal, if it goes through, will see a change in the teams’ name, and quite probably will influence some of it’s branding.
